Control of mechanical systems

Space Mechatronics and Robotics Laboratory carries out research on monitoring techniques of mechanical systems. These works relate to both theoretical considerations aimed at improving the understanding of such issues as optimal and adaptive control, and solving specific practical problems.

Analyzed cases usually relate to systems with specific characteristics (e.g. non-holonomic systems) and operating conditions (vacuum). In particular, projects are carried out in the following areas: space manipulators, attitude and orbit control system (AOCS), control of satellite formations, and others.

The actions undertaken by the Laboratory generally focus on the phenomena and the critical requirements of instruments for space missions built at the Space Research Centre PAS.
