43rd Lunar and Planetary Science Conference
On 19-23 March 2012 in Houston was held 43rd Lunar and Planetary Science Conference, organised every year by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Universities Space Research Association (USRA) and Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI). This conference brings together international specialists in petrology, geochemistry, geophysics, geology, and astronomy to present the latest results of research in planetary science.
One of the LMRS... employee – Agata Przepiórka participated in this conference. During the Thursday poster session she presented the results of the tests in determination of the geophysical properties of the planetary bodies using CHOMIK device: „Experimental determination of geotechnical parameters of planetary bodies – CHOMIK sampler example” K. Skocki, K. Seweryn, T. Kuciński, J. Grygorczuk, A. Przepiórka, H. Rickman, M. Morawski. Agata Przepiórka showed also the results of the three-month internship completed by her during last summer in Lunar and Planetary Institute in Houston, Texas (2011 Lunar Exploration Summer Intern Program): „Tycho Crater: A potential landing site to study a diversity of regolith processes and space weathering.” (A. Przepiórka, S. Crites, S. Quintana, C. Santiago, T. Trabucchi, D. A. Kring).
